GUIDO HARARI INCONTRI. 50 ANNI DI FOTOGRAFIA E RACCONTI 28/10/2023

GUIDO HARARI INCONTRI. 50 ANNI DI FOTOGRAFIA E RACCONTI

The City of Milan and the Fabbrica del Vapore present the large anthological exhibition dedicated to Guido Harari with more than 300 photographs, as well as original films, projections and musical incursions, an audio guide for everyone and meetings with the author.

The exhibition is produced with Rjma Progetti cultural, Wall of Sound Gallery and SM-Art and with the contribution of Epson Italia, Berné, Ci Quadro, Lavezzo Studios, Creation and Radio Monte Carlo.

The exhibition will be introduced by an installation dedicated to Milan, to the great figures of art, culture and Milanese society that Harari met during his 50-year career. The exhibition will also feature the Caverna magica, a special photographic set where Guido Harari will take portraits (by reservation on www.cavernamagicaharari.com). In addition to the original print, which he himself will sign and deliver to the person being portrayed, a second print will be exhibited - in real time - in the section that closes the exhibition, Eyes of Milan, a sort of "exhibition within the exhibition" which will be populated via street of the city's glances. And to represent them all, Harari will create "suspended portraits" of the "less fortunate" Milanese in the "Enzo Jannacci" welcome home, in the Cancer Institute and in other care facilities. These "suspended portraits" will also be added to the large mosaic of the Eyes of Milan.

On the occasion of the exhibition Rizzoli Lizard published a large volume of 432 pages with over 500 illustrations, which constitutes the catalog which you can have signed and dedicated by writing to us at info@wallofsoundgallery.com.

After the first stage at the Mole Vanvitelliana in Ancona in 2022, the anthological exhibition of Guido Harari will be in Ferrara, at the Palazzo dei Diamanti from 16 July to 1 October 2023, in an updated and expanded version.

Over 300 photographs, installations and original films, projections and musical incursions, a photographic set and meetings with the author.

The exhibition, organized by Fondazione Ferrara Arte with Rjma Progetti culturali and Wall Of Sound Gallery, retraces all the phases of Guido Harari's eclectic career: from his debut in the musical field as a photographer and journalist, to the numerous album covers for artists such as Fabrizio De André, Bob Dylan, Vasco Rossi, Kate Bush, Paolo Conte, Lou Reed, Frank Zappa, up to the affirmation of a work that over time has bounced from one genre to another - publishing, advertising, fashion, reportage - always favoring the portrait as an intimate story of the encounters with the major personalities of his time.

The exhibition will also see the return of the Caverna Magica and the portraits of those who want to be portrayed by Guido in the set present inside the exhibition will be part of the exhibition section called Eyes of Ferrara. Info on www.cavernamagicaharari.com.

GUIDO HARARI. REMAIN IN LIGHT. 50 ANNI DI FOTOGRAFIE E INCONTRI 02/06/2022

GUIDO HARARI. REMAIN IN LIGHT. 50 ANNI DI FOTOGRAFIE E INCONTRI

The City of Ancona, in collaboration with Rjma Progetti Culturali, Wall of Sound Gallery and Maggioli Cultura, presents the first anthological exhibition of Guido Harari in an evocative exhibition itinerary set up in the Mole Vanvitelliana, with over 300 photographs, installations and original films, projections and musical incursions, an audio guide for everyone with first-person narrations, a photographic set and meetings with the author.

The exhibition illustrates all the phases of Guido Harari's eclectic career: from his debut in the musical field as a photographer and journalist, to the numerous album covers for artists such as Fabrizio De André, Bob Dylan, Vasco Rossi, Kate Bush, Paolo Conte, Lou Reed, Frank Zappa, up to the affirmation of a work that over time has bounced from one genre to another - publishing, advertising, fashion, reportage - always favoring the portrait as an intimate story of the encounters with the major personalities of his time. The exhibition itinerary begins in the 1970s, when Harari, still a teenager, began to combine his two great passions: music and photography. Unpublished images and sequences, together with period footage, video interviews and the Sky Arte documentary dedicated to him, lead the visitor to the heart of the creative process. Thanks to an audio guide, each visitor can follow the itinerary with the narrating voice of Harari himself.

The exhibition also offers a series of completely unpublished “research” images that Harari has been creating for some years as his form of meditation in progress. At the end of the exhibition itinerary, a photographic set has been set up, the Caverna Magica, a project that starts in Ancona: a set where Harari, on specific dedicated days, will portray visitors who book on the website www.cavernamagicaharari.com. The exhibition is accompanied by the book Guido Harari. Remain in light: a large volume of 432 pages with over 500 illustrations, published by Rizzoli Lizard that you can order signed and inscribed by Guido by writing to us at info@wallofsoundgallery.com.
