HAPPY 80TH BIRTHDAY BOB DYLAN 24/05/2021

HAPPY 80TH BIRTHDAY BOB DYLAN

Bob Dylan turns 80! Another huge achievement for one of the most charismatic and elusive artists of all time, after the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2016, the French Legion of Honor in 2013, the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2012, the King of Sweden’s Polar Music Prize in 2000, the Kennedy Center Honors Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997. Not only: Dylan has received ten Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, a special citation Pulitzer Prize. He has sold over 100 million records, has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He was included in “Time” magazine’s "Time 100: The Most Important People of the Century". “Rolling Stone” considers him the #1 Greatest Songwriter of all Time, and his song “Like a Rolling Stone” is likewise considered by them the #1 Greatest Song of All Time.

Dylan’s career spans over 60 years and is filled with epochal revolutions, from the literary, intellectual and political value of his lyrics to the scope of his music, which moved on from the early folk influence of Woody Guthrie to outrageous electric rock’n’roll (“Bringin’ It All Back Home”, “Highway 61 Revisited”, “Blonde On Blonde”), to country music, to the Born-Again Christian albums “Slow Train Coming” and “Saved”, and again to the constant reinvention of his private and public persona, something that quite likely has quite a few surprises still in store.

To celebrate this special event, we have put together this great selection of iconic and less seen photographs (intimate portraits, candid reportage, concert photos) by authors that, in different times of Dylan’s career, had access to him. All Dylan photos on our website will be discounted 10% until the end of June.

We are also particularly delighted to offer you a new and much wider selection of photos (including many never before seen or available images) by Barry Feinstein, curated by Barry Feinstein Photography Inc and the J. Blatt Agency LLC at a special price. You can see a selection of images in this presentation pdf. Feel free to email us to have special prices.
